Michael Bielicky confronts traditional media with virtual reality research programs in
his exploration of expressing the relation of reality and simulation, perception and experience. Michael Bielicky was born 1954 in Prague.1991 he founded the
Department for New Media at the Art Academy in Prague, where he has been a professor and director of the same department since 1995. 1984-87 study at the Art
Academy in Düsseldorf and 1987-89 assistant to Nam June Paik; 1988 grant to the Cité International des Arts, Paris; 1999 - 2000 Guest artist at the
Center for Art and Media Technology (ZKM) in Karlsruhe; Since 2002 consultant and professor for travellab ICECA=20 (Initiative for Cultural Exchange and Computer
Arts), Thailand. His works were presented amongst other at the Biennial Sao Paulo, Ars Electronica, Linz, Centre Pompidou, Paris, MAK Museum for applied Arts /
